Travis Hunter was one of the top players in college football last season and that’s expected to continue into 2024.
Colorado head coach Deion Sanders recently confirmed that Hunter will be moved around again this season. He’ll be moved inside to give the defense some more flexibility.
He played wide receiver and cornerback last season.
“Yeah, he’s gonna be moved around,” Sanders said, (first transcribed by On3).
“Travis is going to excel at wherever you place him. He’s that kind of a kid. He has that kind of character. He’s that kind of worker. He studies, he prepares, he loves the darn game of football. He loves to practice, he loves to play. You see him, by the time he’s done with the darn offense, he’s running over to the defense. I mean, who does that and don’t ever complain?”
On defense, Hunter compiled 31 total tackles, three interceptions, and five passes defended. On offense, he finished with 57 receptions for 721 yards and five touchdowns.
He was that good and still has room to grow heading into his second year at Colorado. That has to make the fanbase feel pretty good for the 2024 season.
