The Denver Broncos have 35 players (and coaches and owners) in their Ring of Fame, including four linebackers.

Randy Gradishar played for the Broncos from 1974-83, leading the team’s famous “Orange Crush” defense that helped the team reach their first Super Bowl in 1977. Credited with 2,049 career tackles, Gradishar was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame earlier this year.

Tom Jackson (1973-86) also played during the “Orange Crush” era, helping Denver reach two Super Bowls during his accomplished career. Jackson totaled 40 sacks and 20 interceptions during his 14 seasons with the Broncos.

Karl Mecklenburg (1983-94) also played in two Super Bowls. His 79 career sacks rank third in franchise history.

Simon Fletcher (1985-95) helped the club reach three Super Bowls and his 97.5 sacks rank second in team history, only trailing Von Miller (110.5).

Speaking of Miller, he will be eligible for the team’s Ring of Fame five years after retirement. He currently plays for the Buffalo Bills.

Another former linebacker, Al Wilson, has been eligible since 2013. A five-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro, Wilson ranks eighth on the team’s all-time tackles list (723). He has a case to join the Ring of Fame.
