Isaiah Hardge is going to be playing a different position for Colorado going forward.
Hardge originally came to the program as a wide receiver and has also played on defense. He can now add running back to his repertoire.
“Isaiah is an athlete,” Colorado head coach Deion Sanders said, (first transcribed by On3). “This is a kid who came a receiver, flipped over to defensive back because we were desolate at that position. He went back and blessed us and played running back for us and got it done. I mean, he’s an athlete. He’s a ballplayer.”
Hardge was originally part of the 2023 recruiting class and was a three-star recruit, per 247Sports composite rankings. He was also the No. 156 recruit in his home state (Florida) and the No. 1,121 overall recruit, regardless of position.
He’ll get to have a good chunk of reps at running back and help Colorado get back to bowl eligibility.
Colorado started out red hot last season, winning its first three games before losing eight of nine to end the year.
