Earlier this week, we asked fans to weigh in on Clint Hurdle’s first weekend as the Rockies’ hitting coach. After scoring just 52 runs in their first 18 games, the Rockies made a change and fired Hensley Meulens and promoted Hurdle. Since then, they have scored 36 runs in eight games. They scored 11 in Hurdle’s first game as hitting coach, two in the second, and three in the third.
The vast majority of fans said that Hurdle’s first weekend met their expectations, which shouldn’t be surprising because fans’ expectations have been low for this team for a while. So low, in fact, that only 8% of folks said the first weekend exceeded their expecations.

In addition, we asked fans to weigh in on Bud Black’s prospects after a historic 4-22 start to the season. Only 44% of them believe that he will finish the season at the helm of the Rockies. Last week, fans appeared to have a crystal ball when it came to coaching changes. Could it happen again?

After a week of Clint Hurdle, do you agree with your original answer? Or would you change it? Let us know!
