Welinton Herrera and Charlie Cond take a step onto the big stage.
Welcome to All-Star Week, which officially starts today!
Kicking things off is the All-Star Futures Game, which features the top Minor League prospects competing in a seven-inning contest as part of MLB’s All-Star Saturday.
Two future Colorado Rockies are on the roster: Charlie Condon (No. 2 PuRP) and Welinton Herrera (No. 34 PuRP).

The game features an American League vs. National League format and will last seven innings. The bottom of the seventh inning may be played regardless of the score. If the game is tied after seven innings, there will be an eighth inning; if it is tied after that, the game ends in a tie.
The Futures Game will use the ABS (Automatic Balls and Strikes) Challenge System. Each team will get two challenges and will retain their challenge if they are correct.
Just so you know, players will be permitted to re-enter the game if needed due to injury.
