Montgomery, a 6-foot-4, 200 pound right-handed batter, profiles as a speedy outfielder with a big arm and high-level defensive potential. Known for hitting 400-foot homers during batting practice, the 18-year-old Montgomery hit .417 this season with seven homers with Red Land, and is expected to have one of the highest ceilings of any player in this year’s draft. His peak barrel speed of 84.8 MPH is said to be the best in the entire class as well. If that wasn’t enough, the young outfielder is also known as having an infectious, fun-loving personality that lights up clubhouses.
