After beating the Houston Dynamo on Sunday, the Colorado Rapids moved up two spots in the Western Conference standings to 5th place. Minnesota United destroyed FC Dallas 3-0, knocking the Texas side down to 6th place and securing home-field advantage.
Now, instead of facing the Portland Timbers or Seattle Sounders, the Rapids are heading north to take on MNUFC in the first round of the playoffs on Sunday, November 22 at 5:30 p.m. MT. The game will be broadcast on ESPN/ESPN Deportes, TSN, and TVA Sports, as well as Altitude Sports Radio.
If the Rapids win, they will face the winner of No. 1 Sporting Kansas City vs. No. 8 San Jose Earthquakes. That match-up is at 2 p.m. MT on FS1/FOX Deportes, TSN, and TVA Sports, so we’ll know the results before Colorado vs. Minnesota starts.
