It’s been a rough couple of weeks for the family of Denver Nuggets star Michael Porter Jr. Unfortunately, this past week saw yet another serious legal issue befall a sibling of his.
According to TMZ Sports, Porter’s younger brother Jevon was arrested this past Friday on a suspicion of DWI. Per the report, Jevon Porter was pulled over at around 1:30 a.m. in Missouri for speeding prior before being arrested.
TMZ reported that the incident is still being investigated and no further details are available at this time.
Jevon Porter plays college basketball and recently transferred to Loyola-Marymount after previously playing at Pepperdine. In two years at Pepperdine, Porter averaged 13.8 points and 6.7 rebounds per game, earning 49 starts in 52 appearances for the school. He earned WCC Honorable Mention honors at the end of the season.
The entire month of April was simply brutal on the rest of Michael Porter Jr’s family.
His younger brother Jontay Porter was banned for life from the NBA a few weeks ago in the fallout of a massive gambling scandal.
His other brother, Coban Porter, was recently sentenced to six years in prison for a drunk-driving incident that resulted in the death of a woman last year.
How in the world Michael Porter Jr. is able to keep his mind focused on basketball right now is beyond us.
