Free agent guard P.J. Dozier has been cleared to resume full basketball activities. Dozier tore his left ACL in mid-November while playing for the Denver Nuggets.
This is good news for Dozier who is an unrestricted free agent. He’ll be fully ready to participate in training camp and for the start of the 2022-23 season in October.
Dozier had become a key rotation player for Denver over the prior two seasons. He had his two-year Two-Way deal ended and was signed to a multi-year standard contract ahead of the 2020-21 season.
In late-January of 2022, Dozier was traded from Denver to the Boston Celtics in a three-team deal that also involved the San Antonio Spurs. Boston later traded Dozier to the Orlando Magic in a salary clearing deal at the trade deadline. Orlando then waived Dozier, making him an unrestricted free agent.
