Paul Pierce Named The NBA’s Best Point Guard And Fans Are Furious

Former Celtics star Paul Pierce fired off a controversial take during Game 4 of the NBA Finals.

Pierce announced on Twitter that he thinks Jamal Murray is the best point guard in the league.

“Jamal Murray is the best point gaurd in the league,” Pierce tweeted.

Yes, Pierce’s tweet featured a typo. That’s not the main takeaway though.

Murray is an outstanding player for the Nuggets, no one would deny that statement. He showcased his versatility on Friday night, recording 15 points and 12 assists in Game 4.

That being said, Murray shouldn’t be ranked above point guards such as Steph Curry, Luka Doncic and Damian Lillard.

Unsurprisingly, Pierce’s opinion got crushed by NBA fans.

“He’s not even top 5 bruh,” one fan responded.

“Murray was 4th in scoring on his own team last night. Bench role player Bruce Brown dropped more points,” a second fan said. “If this happened with Steph in a Finals game, he’d be getting slandered into oblivion. Instead, we have delusional bozos like Paul Pierce crowning Jamal best PG in the NBA.

Another fan wrote, “Stay off the weed man.”

What we can all agree on is that Denver wouldn’t be one win away from a championship without Murray.

Game 5 of the NBA Finals will take place on Monday night.
