The Denver Nuggets have signed guard James Akinjo to an Exhibit 10 contract. The Nuggets will waive Akinjo from the non-guaranteed deal before the end of the preseason. Akinjo is expected to join the Grand Rapids Gold for the upcoming G League season.
Akinjo played for the Wisconsin Herd of the G League last season. The 6-foot-1 guard averaged 14.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, 7.9 assists and 1.7 steals per game for the Heard.
