Nikola Jokic will return from the bone bruise in his left knee on Friday when the Denver Nuggets play the Los Angeles Clippers. Jokic has been out since December 29th when he hyperextended his left knee.
Jokic will remain eligible for regular season awards such as MVP and All-NBA as he attempts to meet the league’s 65-game threshold. Jokic has finished first or second in MVP voting in every season since 2021.
Jokic also plans to play in Sunday’s game between the Nuggets and Oklahoma City Thunder where he will meet the other MVP favorite Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
The Nuggets posted a 10-6 record without Jokic, which exceeded the expectations of most observers. Denver has a 32-16 record and is currently in third in the Western Conference behind the Thunder and San Antonio Spurs.
