Tempers flared during Monday night’s game between the Denver Nuggets and Miami Heat, as Nikola Jokic was ejected in the fourth quarter for purposely knocking Markieff Morris to the ground.
Morris threw his elbow into Jokic’s right side, which then led to Jokic loosing his composure and shoving Morris in the back with his forearm. That shove from Jokic warranted a flagrant foul 2.
Unsurprisingly, the Heat were not thrilled with Jokic’s actions on Monday night. Following the game, a photo of several players waiting in the hall for Nuggets players went viral on social media.
Thankfully, a brawl didn’t break out between these two teams. Make no mistake, though, the Heat were ready for war after watching Morris get shoved by Jokic.
Here’s the photo of the Heat that is going viral on Twitter this Tuesday:

Jokic apologized for his actions after the game, calling it a “stupid play” on his part.
“It’s a stupid play,” Jokic told reporters. “I feel bad. I am not supposed to react that way. I thought it was going to be a take foul. … I think it was a dirty play. And I just needed to protect myself. I felt bad. I am not supposed to react that way, but I need to protect myself.”
Heat coach Erik Spoelstra, meanwhile, said that Jokic’s play was very dangerous and dirty.
The Heat and Nuggets will meet again on Nov. 29 at FTX Arena.
