LeBron James praised Tyrese Haliburton’s character on Wednesday’s episode of his “Mind the Game” podcast, explaining that he was a positive presence throughout Team USA’s gold medal run in Paris. “Just a great person, man. A great kid,” James said. “Didn’t matter if he was playing or if he got the opportunity, he was the same guy every single day. You could see that his main frame was soaking in all the knowledge and the details being around all of us. He was just super appreciative every single day. As a personal example, Carlisle mentioned how when he was Dallas, they brought Alex Caruso to a free-agent camp, then later passed on bringing him to summer league. “Being a guard and the guy your whole life and then coming in and having to be a role player, you have to change your mindset,” Wallace told The Athletic. “But once you come in every day and you see everybody buys into their role, you find out that being a role player isn’t bad.
