Ultimately, Nikola Jokić refused to let the Nuggets lose tonight. And so, the Sixers’ winning streak is over, despite absolutely brilliant showings from Tyrese Maxey, Guerschon Yabusele and Kelly Oubre Jr. on the offensive end of the floor:

A Ricky Council 3 at the buzzer and we’ll head to the 4th with the Nuggets holding on to a slim 103-100 lead. It’s been a single digit game all night.
Huge performances from Tyrese Maxey (30 points, 7 assists) and Guerschon Yabusele (28 points, 7 rebounds) to lead the Sixers. – 9:28 PM

5 straight points by Guerschon Yabusele, then Maxey hits a 3 coming off a screen and the Sixers have taken a 25-24 lead with 2:53 left in the first quarter. Yabusele and Maxey have 8 each to lead the Sixers. – 8:05 PM

Guerschon Yabusele knocks down his second three of the game, then goes coast-to-coast for a transition slam. Yabusele tied his career-high with 22 points in Denver earlier this month without playing in the fourth quarter. – 8:04 PM

My thoughts on @MikeAScotto’s report on teams calling the Sixers to talk about trading for Guerschon Yabusele, Caleb Martin and other veterans.
Why trading Martin is a tough sell for me + explaining Yabusele’s appeal to teams with major luxury tax bills:

More on this storyline

Ian Begley: Knicks are among many team that have checked in with Philly on big man Guerschon Yabusele. Sixers aren’t necessarily looking to move Yabusele, who is havin a strong season (10.4 pts, 5.5 rebs, 2 assists per game; shooting 39% on 3s). PHI’s Eric Gordon also continues to garner interest from playoff contenders. -via Twitter @IanBegley / January 31, 2025
Sources say that Guerschon Yabusele continues to generate interest from playoff teams, with Philadelphia weighing offers that feature multiple second-round picks. Minnesota is the latest team to join that case, sources say. As Mike Scotto reported Thursday for HoopsHype, other teams that have inquired includes Boston, New York and Denver. -via marcstein.substack.com / January 31, 2025
Several teams have expressed interest in trading for Guerschon Yabusele, including the Boston Celtics, New York Knicks, Denver Nuggets, and others, league sources told HoopsHype. Teams searching for backup center depth are monitoring Drummond, who remains one of the league’s best rebounders when healthy. -via HoopsHype / January 30, 2025
