Forward Dario Saric has exercised his $5.4 million player option with the Denver Nuggets for next season. Saric signed a two-year, $10.6 million deal with Denver last summer.
Saric went on to appear in only 16 games for the Nuggets last season. The veteran forward averaged 3.5 points and 3.1 rebounds in 13.1 minutes per game.
With Saric back in the fold, Denver projects to be $11.8 million under the second apron with 12 players on the roster. That should give the Nuggets enough room to use the $5.7 million Taxpayer MLE in free agency, while leaving room to sign two players to veteran minimum contracts.
