Christian Braun is expected to command a contract extension with the Denver Nuggets for at least $25 million per season, sources tell Jake Fischer of The Stein Line. Braun, who is represented by Diego Arguelles, has until October 20th to agree to an extension, or otherwise become a restricted free agent in 2026.
Braun solidified his standing with the Nuggets last season when he was elevated to the full time starting shooting guard following the departure of Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.
In 79 games last season, Braun averaged 15.4 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 33.9 minutes. Braun improved his three-point percentage from 22.2 percent to 29.6 percent.
The Nuggets freed up significant salary last offseason by trading Michael Porter Jr. to the Brooklyn Nets for Cam Johnson.
However, Denver is unlikely to sign Peyton Watson to a new rookie scale contract.
