Amidst the Denver Nuggets celebrating their 2023 NBA Finals victory, Bruce Brown was asked about his upcoming free agency. Brown made it clear he’d like to stick with the champs.
“I want to stay,” Brown said. “Look at us. Celebrating the Finals, winning the Finals. This is what you come to the NBA for, to win at the highest level.”
Brown has a $6.8 million player option for next season. If he opts out, the most the Nuggets can pay Brown is $7.8 million by using his non-Bird rights. Brown is expected to have offers for at least the Non-Taxpayer Mid-Level Exception, which starts at $12.2 million. Brown has said his fit with Denver matters a lot.
“It’s a perfect fit,” Brown said. “And money is not everything. The money will come. So, I’m not worried about that right now.”
