Denver Nuggets power forward Aaron Gordon will miss at least four-to-six weeks due to a Grade 2 right hamstring strain. Gordon was attempted to play in the Nuggets win over the Houston Rockets on Friday, but exited the game after just three minutes. Postgame, Denver coach David Adelman said that he expected to Gordon to miss time.
Gordon is the second Nuggets starter to go down in recent weeks. Starting wing Christian Braun is out for six weeks after suffering a sprained left ankle a week-and-a-half ago.
Gordon is averaging a career-high 18.8 point per game on 53/44/87 shooting splits. The absence of two starters means the Nuggets will rely more on Peyton Watson, while cobbling together the fifth starter. Two-Way player Spencer Jones drew the start in Denver’s home loss to the Sacramento Kings on Saturday.
