Denver Nuggets coach Michael Malone told NJ Advance Media last month that he believes Hurley could be an excellent NBA coach. “Do I think he could coach in the NBA? Of course, I can, he’s a hell of a coach,” Malone told NJ Advance Media in April “There’s always been [questions], ‘Can a European coach coach in the NBA? Can a college coach coach in the NBA?’ and you look at some of the guys that have tried and maybe it hasn’t worked out. Danny played the game, he knows the game, he grew up in the gym.”
