Deion Sanders had an awesome surprise for one of Colorado’s running backs over the weekend.
Addressing the team on Saturday, Coach Prime gathered the Buffaloes in the locker room and shared that junior Charlie Offerdahl will be awarded a full scholarship after two years with CU’s program.
“There’s a young man that’s been working his butt off and they tell me he is the Spring Player of the [Year]. Even though he’s hurt, he’s that,” Sanders began.
“Come up here Charlie… He has won our first ever Spring Player of the Year. Does he deserve it or not? Forget the darn spring player… What about a scholarship?!” the coach asked.
Sanders also invited Offerdahl’s mom, dad and brother up to see Charlie officially become a scholarship athlete with the Buffs.
