The 2024 NFL Draft isn’t over yet, but that won’t stop people from looking at the early betting odds for next year’s class.
This year’s draft class was loaded with quarterbacks, such as Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels and Drake Maye. Next year’s group, however, isn’t as star-studded.
As of this moment, Shedeur Sanders, the son of Colorado head coach Deion Sanders, is the betting favorite to be the No. 1 pick at +100.
Sanders showed a ton of promise last season, throwing for 3,230 yards and 27 touchdowns. He can truly cement his status as a top-five pick with a strong 2024 campaign.
It’s worth noting that Sanders’ father will be very vocal about where he’ll end up in the NFL. The Hall of Famer already said he doesn’t want his son playing in a cold weather city.
“Like, I don’t want my kid [Shedeur] going nowhere cold next year,” Deion Sanders said. “He grew up in Texas. He played in Jackson, played in Colorado. Season’s over before it gets cold in Colorado. I’m just thinking way ahead. I don’t want that for him.”
Additionally, Deion Sanders said there are certain cities that Shedeur won’t play for. That could complicate matters.
In the event Shedeur Sanders’ stock takes a hit this year, Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers or Georgia quarterback Carson Beck could dethrone him as the No. 1 pick.
