Shedeur Sanders, the son of Colorado football coach Deion Sanders, is getting trashed by football fans around the country because of something he said about a former teammate.
In a piece published by The Athletic, former Colorado safety Xavier Smith accused Deion Sanders of destroying players’ confidence when he first stepped on campus in Boulder.
“He was destroying guys’ confidence and belief in themselves,” Smith told The Athletic. “The way he did it, it could’ve been done with a little more compassion.”
Those remarks didn’t sit well with Shedeur, who took a shot at Smith on social media.
“Ion even remember him tbh,” Shedeur wrote. “Bro had to be very mid at best.”
Even if Shedeur truly felt this way about Smith, airing him out on social media just isn’t a smart move. People will use this against him for a very long time.
With that said, countless people blasted Colorado’s starting quarterback for his “classless” tweet.
“It’s just sad and very telling about who Deion and his sons are that they are trashing their own former players and teammates on social media. I guess you could expect that from Shilo/Shedeur but from Deion?? It’s just classless,” one person wrote on X.
Another person said, “Classless is a word that gets thrown around a lot. If you think Shedeur isn’t, the word means nothing.”
“Shedeur is the cornball diva that people think Caleb Williams is,” a fan commented.

Instead of reprimanding his son, Deion decided to encourage his behavior. When a troll called out the Hall of Famer, he replied, “He will be a top 5 pick. Where yo son going? Lololol I got time today. Lololol.”
Suffice to say, Colorado will have a huge target on its back next season.
