Shedeur Sanders will look to spend the year atop 2025 NFL Draft boards. He also attempted to climb the music charts.
The Colorado quarterback released his first song, “Perfect Timing,” on Spotify on April 28. Sanders performed it when opening for Lil’ Wayne at the end of the month.
The autotune-heavy medley runs for approximately two minutes. On3 brought more attention to the song by posting a 28-second clip on social media Tuesday.

Critics may quote Sanders and say his musical foray is “very mid at best.”
After following his father from Jackson State, Sanders accrued 3,230 passing yards with 32 touchdowns. He completed 69.3 percent of his passes and relinquished just three interceptions despite playing behind a shoddy offensive line.
Despite his successful junior year, Colorado followed a torrid 3-0 start by losing eight of its final nine games. Sanders decided that 2024 wasn’t the perfect time to go pro in a draft class led by quarterbacks Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, and Drake Maye.
Shortly after the draft, Sanders emerged as a way-too-early favorite to get taken No. 1 overall next year. However, his odds quickly diminished.
Some onlookers blamed that shift on Sanders claiming he didn’t remember Xavier Smith, a defensive back who transferred from Colorado to Austin Peay last year. Smith told The Athletic that Deion Sanders “never even tried to get to know me” and “was destroying guys’ confidence” on the team.
It’s also possible betting activity naturally moved the lines because gamblers wouldn’t touch the initial line. Either way, Coach Prime insisted that his son will be a top-five pick in 2025.
