Trevor Baskin will rep the red, white and blue this summer.
Trevor Baskin is trading in black and gold for red, white and blue, as the former Colorado Buffalo was named to Team USA’s 3×3 National Team for the upcoming FIBA Nations League in Punta Arenas, Chile, from July 21-27.
Baskin played the majority of his college career with Division II Colorado Mesa in Grand Junction, earning all-conference honors three times and DII All-American honors in 2024 with the Mavericks.
After coming to Boulder as a graduate transfer, Baskin made an impact for the Buffaloes. Despite having a down year, Baskin was often a rare highlight, slamming dunks and blocking insane shots. Baskin averaged 7 points and nearly 5 rebounds during his only season with the Buffs, earning the team’s Stephane Pelle Rebounding Award for his efforts.
Baskin exhausted his college eligibility following the 2024-25 season, but his basketball journey continues on. His high-energy style of play and length should translate well to the 3×3 game, as former Buff heads to South America to try to earn Team USA’s spot in the FIBA 3×3 World Cup later this fall in China.
Baskin isn’t the only Buff to represent their country either, as Frida Formann of the Danish 3×3 team will also play this week in Punta Arenas.
The event kicks off today, so make sure to keep up with our former Buffs as they represent their nations. Good luck, Trevor and Frida!
