The Colorado Buffaloes continue to see major turnover on their roster as a key piece of last year’s offense is reportedly hitting the transfer portal.
Per 247’s Matt Zenitz, running back Dylan Edwards is expected to transfer out of Boulder. Noting, “The Class of 2023 four-star recruit was one of the stars of the Buffaloes’ season-opening win over TCU last year. Had four touchdowns in that game.”
This one had people hitting the panic button on social media:
“They lost a whole lotta nothing up until now, but this one’ll be painful lol,” a user laughed.
“Significant,” Brad Crawford replied. “He’s a star and one of Colorado’s best players.”
“Theres no way to spin this, something is not right in Boulder,” Heath Cline said.
“Say he wasn’t a starter (not true) all you want—this a gigantic red flag,” Jake Shapiro commented.
“Program falling apart. Poor culture. Kids are seeing past the big talk and nepotism.”
“And boom goes the dynamite,” tweeted Ryan Wallace.
Edwards was a huge flip for Coach Prime and Colorado when they were able to lure the Derby, Kansas native away from his original commitment to K-State.
The talented freshman had played his youth ball for Sanders back in Texas and their relationship appeared to be strong. Not strong enough to keep him in Boulder though it seems.
