CU Buffs’ Deion Sanders on Shilo Sanders’ Mercedes-Benz beef: “He’s good”

April 4, 2025 by The Denver Post

BOULDER — Former CU safety Shilo Sanders was riding high after running a 4.52 time in the 40-yard dash at the Buffs’ pro timing “showcase” on Friday. According to his father, he’ll keep riding in his Mercedes, too.

“I know some other bull junk came out (this week),” Buffs coach Deion Sanders said during a brief news conference at CU’s Indoor Practice Facility. “But he fulfilled all his financial obligations.”

Coach Prime was addressing a report by USA Today this week that said his son was past due for nearly $7,000 in payments on his 2023 Mercedes-Benz and that the company was seeking relief with the court in which the younger Sanders filed for bankruptcy in 2023.

Deion Sanders added the following, stressing that it was from Shilo’s attorney: “‘These issues appear to have risen due to disruptions in the payment process … following the termination of Mr. Sanders’ online account access.’

“So he’s good. He’s good.”
