The Buffs are playing tonight.
Fresh off defeating Hoop City, the Colorado Buffaloes will play again tonight in the second leg of their four-game Australian tour.
It’s a late tip-off for those in Colorado, as the Buffs face the Gold Coast All-Stars at 7 p.m. local / 3 a.m. MT. This game is not streaming, so those interested must rely on @cubuffsmbb on Instagram and X for live updates.
This tour is a huge opportunity for the Buffs to test themselves against quality opponents, take advantage of the extra practices afforded to them, and maybe do a bit of recruiting and networking in the talent-rich down under.
Of course it helps Nate Tomlinson is back on the staff, as the former guard and current assistant is from Sydney and played five years for the NBL’s Melbourne United (FKA Melbourne Tigers).
After this match, the Buffs will stay in Gold Coast to play the Australian national team on July 31 at 6:30 p.m. local / 2:30 a.m. MT. The Boomers don’t have their A-squad, but the roster features lots of NBL talent. That game is streaming on ESPN+.
The final game is on August 3 at 11:00 a.m. local / August 4 at 7 p.m. MT. The Buffs will face the NBL’s Sydney Kings in their home stadium. This will be a family reunion for Tomlinson, whose father is an assistant coach on the Kings.
