I’m not good at math, but I know the Colorado Buffaloes still have a double-digit scholarship count to play with. That means there may STILL be some additions to the Buff program this summer (please, a running back, please).
This is a nice two-fer that Coach Prime picked up here. Tyrecus Davis, who started at Wyoming last year, is coming to pay for the Buffs. he has played plenty of snaps at Wyoming. He had 36 tackles, an interception and a fumble in 2024 for the Cowboys.
Notably, CU plays Wyoming next year, so this will add a nice scouting boost to the prep for that week as well. Davis is a slot corner, through and through. With DJ McKinney and (colton hood my beloved) Preston Hodge on the outside, Davis will slot right in as the third defensive back in the formation. There will be some competition, with Carter Stoutmire and RJ Johnson in the mix as well.
