You couldn’t have scripted it better. This Colorado-Colorado State game is already living up to the hype and somehow being even better.
On their second drive of the first quarter, Colorado State drove down the field on a long drive and reached Colorado’s 22-yard line. On a pass from Rams quarterback Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi threw the ball into the flats – right into the hands of safety Shilo Sanders.
Shilo Sanders, the son of Colorado coach Deion Sanders and wearing his No. 21 from Prime Time’s playing days, ran the ball back all the way to the endzone for a touchdown – high-stepping his way into the endzone for a Buffaloes touchdown.
When Shilo got back to the sidelines, the first person that greeted him was Coach Prime, who embraced him in a big hug.

But Colorado State didn’t wait long to respond. On the very next drive they scored a touchdown on just three plays.
This game isn’t the beatdown that we thought it would be, but it’s getting very good, very quickly.
The game is being played on ESPN.
