Fans outside of SEC country were irate with ESPN for delaying the broadcast of college football’s game of the week between Colorado and CSU so they could finish out the last few minutes of a largely decided Florida-Tennessee game.
The Gators were up 13 late in the fourth quarter. But instead of deciding to bring its viewers to Boulder for the highly-anticipated matchup that was featured on “College GameDay,” the network decided to keep its cameras on The Swamp.
Taking to social media, fans let their voices be heard:
“Me waiting for ESPN to put the damn Colorado game on…” tweeted former Pro Bowl running back Thomas Q. Jones.

“Complaints must’ve flooded in for ESPN to delay the kickoff for Colorado vs Colorado St. They know what America wants to see. That’s amazing the effect Coach Prime has had already,” a user replied.

“Hey ESPN, cut the to the Colorado game!” another said. “I know it’s abnormal to thirst for Colorado vs. Colorado St game over SEC Tennessee vs. Florida, but as you know it’s the Prime effect.”

“I understand that industry standard is to finish one broadcast before cutting to another- but even people from Florida would rather be watching Colorado & Coach Prime on ESPN right now,” another person commented.

Unfortunate but predictable.
