Colorado State’s Henry Blackburn was the subject of a ton of backlash online for his dirty hit on Buffaloes star Travis Hunter. But now it’s reportedly extended well beyond the screen.
Per ESPN college football writer Pete Thamel:
Colorado State police has worked in concert with local authorities to look into the threats– which have included death threats – on social media against Blackburn and his family. By the time the game ended on Saturday, both Henry and his mother’s cell phone numbers had been published on the Internet. They’ve been inundated with threatening calls and text messages. Henry’s campus address and his family’s home address were also published.

Fans were disgusted by some people’s actions over the weekend.
“Fans making death threats against a college kid and his mom (including releasing their cell numbers & addresses) for a dirty play during a heated rivalry game is truly the ultimate late hit,” a user said. “Be better, Colorado. This is hypocritical classless garbage.”

“I see Colorado fans are acting like the old days again but without the hookers this time,” an account shot back.
