The Jay Norvell era at Colorado State will kick off on national television — and it will come bright and early.
The CSU Rams on Thursday unveiled the kick-off times and TV assignments for the majority of their schedule, leading off with a 10 a.m. game at Michigan on Sept. 3 that will air on ABC.
The start times for five of the Rams’ six home games were also announced, including the home opener against Middle Tennessee State at 2 p.m. on Sept. 10.
CSU is set to play six games at Canvas Stadium, and each of those with a set kick time is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. or earlier. No kick time has been established for the Hawaii game on Oct. 22, but the school said it expected the game to begin in the early afternoon.
“We are excited to give Ram fans the opportunity to set their schedules for the 2022 season nearly three months in advance with kick times already for the majority of our home schedule,” CSU athletic director Joe Parker said in a news release. “We’re also happy to appeal to families who have shared concerns about later evening kickoffs with a schedule that doesn’t include a kick time later than 5 p.m. It will take all of us to rally around Coach Norvell and this program, and I believe this home slate gives every fan the best opportunity to support our team this season.”
