College football fans are in for a treat this Tuesday. There are five marquee matchups on today’s schedule, and the action starts as early as noon ET.
Auburn and Houston will kick off the action in the TicketSmarter Birmingham Bowl. The Tigers are the odds-on favorites, but the Cougars shouldn’t be overlooked. There’s a reason they finished the regular season with an 11-2 record.
Following that matchup, Air Force and Louisville will battle in the SERVPRO First Responder Bowl. ESPN’s Football Power Index gives the Cardinals a 61.0 percent chance of winning this game.
The third game on this schedule is the AutoZone Liberty Bowl. This bowl game features Mississippi State and Texas Tech. If you like shootouts, you’ll probably enjoy this showdown.
UCLA and NC State will square off in the San Diego County Credit Union Holiday Bowl. The Wolfpack are slight favorites, but this game might just come down to whichever team has the ball last.
The fifth and final bowl game on Tuesday’s schedule is the Guarantee Rate Bowl between West Virginia and Minnesota. P.J. Fleck’s squad will certainly try to end this season on a positive note.
Here’s the official schedule for this Tuesday:
Houston vs. Auburn: 12 p.m. ET on ESPN
Air Force vs. Louisville: 3:15 p.m. ET on ESPN
Mississippi State vs. Texas Tech: 6:45 p.m. ET on ESPN

This bowl season has been unusual due to COVID-19 and all the challenges that it presents. However, it’s nice to see that Tuesday’s loaded schedule wasn’t affected by the virus.
It should be an action-packed Tuesday for sports fans.
