The Broncos listed wide receiver Courtland Sutton (shoulder) as questionable on their injury report for a “Monday Night Football” showdown with the Titans in Week 1.
Denver’s KJ Hamler (hamstring) is also listed as questionable but coach Vic Fangio indicated Hamler is unlikely to play. Sutton, on the other hand, appears to be a game-time decision.
“He’s questionable in the truest sense of the word, 50-50,” Fangio said Saturday. “He’s made great strides.”
Sutton will have to demonstrate that his shoulder has healed enough for him to play through his injury against Tennessee. Fangio gave Sutton a unique test to prove if he’s ready to play.
“He’s got to pass the most primitive test there is,” Fangio said. “This is what I told him and the trainers. He’s got to be able to do 10 jumping jacks. If he can do 10 jumping jacks, he can play.”
Monday’s game (8:20 p.m. MT) will be nationally televised on ESPN.
