The Denver Broncos have made it no secret that they’re looking at quarterbacks this offseason. They tried to trade for Matthew Stafford and they are interested in Deshaun Watson.
So when Tim Tebow announced his retirement from baseball on Wednesday, fans and pundits on Twitter were quick to link him to Denver’s quarterback job. It seems that most of the tweets were posted in jest. A small sampling:

The Broncos also chimed in on Tebow’s retirement, wishing the former first-round pick the best of luck for whatever comes next.

Tebow returning to Denver seems highly unlikely to happen. One more practical (but probably still unlikely) scenario for the ex-QB might be to reunite with Urban Meyer, who now coaches the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Jags presumably plan to select Trevor Lawrence with the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL draft, but Tebow could serve as Jacksonville’s own version of Taysom Hill. The chances of that happening are low, but not as low as the chances of Tebow playing quarterback for the Broncos.
