Tim Tebow to join Stephen A. Smith's 'First Take' on Fridays this fall

September 5, 2021 by Broncos Wire Leave a Comment

Former Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow will join Stephen A. Smith on ESPN’s First Take debate show on Fridays this fall.

ESPN will have a rotating cast of co-hosts for First Take this fall after Max Kellerman left the show last week. Tebow will be a regular on Fridays and former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Michael Irvin will join Smith on Mondays.

Irvin will discuss the past weekend’s NFL action early in the week and Tebow will preview the upcoming college football games at the end of the week.

Tebow recently went to training camp with the Jacksonville Jaguars as a tight end but he failed to make their 53-man roster.

Before that, Tebow played minor league baseball from 2016-2020. He spent time with the Philadelphia Eagles (2015) and New England Patriots (2013) after a one-year stint with the New York Jets (2012) following his departure from the Broncos.

Denver selected Tebow in the first round of the 2010 NFL draft out of Florida and he spent two seasons with the Broncos, helping the team win a Wild Card playoff game over the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2011. Denver replaced Tebow with Peyton Manning during the 2012 offseason.

Tebow initially joined ESPN in 2013 as an SEC Network analyst.
