After being added to the team’s Ring of Fame at halftime of last week’s game, former Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning took off his jacket and put on a No. 18 jersey — fans at Empower Field at Mile High went crazy.
Manning then took a football and trotted down near the 30-yard line and completed a touchdown pass to former teammate and good friend Brandon Stokley. The crowd, again, went crazy.
Pretty cool moment.
Stokley later revealed on Twitter that before the game on Sunday, Manning borrowed the jersey from a fan in the stands. After wearing it to throw one last touchdown pass at the team’s stadium, Manning then signed the jersey and returned it to the fan.
Now that’s a really cool moment!
Time for one more play …

Stokley played with Manning with the Indianapolis Colts and then again with the Broncos. The former receiver caught plenty of passes from Manning during his playing days, but he was still nervous last Sunday.
I was NERVOUS!!!

Great throw, great catch, great memories for the fans in attendance, and an even better memory for the fan who got a signed jersey.
