The Post is reporting that the Broncos are currently negotiating with Colorado Governor Jared Polis regarding the 58-acre property. It was previously used as a rail yard, but could become the new home of the Denver Broncos in the future. They’re also reporting that they are exploring other areas, including the 36-acre Denver Water campus, which is located near Burnham Yard.
Either way, it appears that the Broncos may have a new home in the future.
This always seemed like the logical outcome, in my opinion. The Broncos have the wealthiest ownership group, by a wide margin, in the NFL, and they probably want their own brand-new stadium. Not only would it give the Broncos a state-of-the-art new home, but it would also open up the possibilities for the city to host a potential Super Bowl and other events, such as March Madness.
Nothing is official, obviously, but all signs seem to point to the Broncos announcing plans to build a new stadium sometime in the near future.
