Robert Griffin III calls Broncos Bo Nix the most underrated QB in the NFL

The former NFL quarterback shared his opinion on social media after watching all of Nix’s rookie film.

Good morning, Broncos Country!

Nothing sparks debate like calling someone the best or the most underrated.

Whether in sports or pop culture, people are set in their beliefs about what or who fits either criterion. It’s obviously subjective, which makes it debatable. That’s especially true in the days of social media.

So you can imagine the fire former NFL quarterback and current analyst Robert Griffin III sparked when he called Bo Nix the most underrated quarterback in the NFL. Griffin posted his opinion on Twitter two days ago after he said he watched all of his film from Nix’s rookie season with the Denver Broncos.

Some in Broncos Country might agree, some may not. I tend to agree with Griffin since even now, what Nix did as a rookie is filled with “yeah, but.” Yeah, but he had Sean Payton and that offense/system to guide him. Yeah, but Nix had one of the best defenses in the NFL. Yeah, but some stats he ranked poorly in.

One thing is clear: Nix guided the Broncos to their first winning season and playoff appearance in nearly a decade while putting up numbers as a rookie few other QBs have.

Nix is also the reason for the genuine excitement about what is possible for this franchise in his second year. Whether any of this makes him “the most underrated” is up for debate.
