Deshaun Watson is unhappy with the Houston Texans and has asked for a trade, which has sparked speculation about potential destinations for the three-time Pro Bowler. While the quarterback is disgruntled, the Texans have adamantly stated Watson will not be traded.
Watson might decide to hold out, which could force Houston’s hand. If the Texans change their mind and give in to the QB’s trade request, Watson will have plenty of suitors, including the Denver Broncos.
The Broncos “will pursue” Watson if Houston decides to trade him, according to a report from KMGH-TV’s Troy Renck.
The interest between Denver and Watson is mutual. The QB told former teammate Kareem Jackson that he would be interested in joining the Broncos if they made an attempt to trade for him. Other reports have confirmed that Watson is intrigued by the possibility of landing in Denver.
It remains to be seen if the Texans will hold firm on their no-trade stance. If Houston gives in, the Broncos will be calling.
