The Broncos 2025 rookie class is officially signed.
Deadlines get deals done.
According to 9NEWS Denver’s Mike Klis, the Denver Broncos have agreed to terms with running back R.J. Harvey on a four-year deal. After the Texans gave their second-round pick a fully guaranteed contract, it complicated matters for the rest of the teams and left the vast majority of the second-round picks unsigned. However, with rookies reporting to camp and the start of training camp just a week away, these deals are getting done. With Harvey now signed, the Denver Broncos’ entire 2025 rookie class is now signed.
Per source, Broncos have agreed to terms with 2nd-round draft pick RJ Harvey on 4-year contract. All Broncos draft picks wrapped up.

One of the main goals for the Broncos this offseason was improving their run game. It was abysmal last season, and if this team wants to have success in the postseason, they need a productive run game. Well, they addressed this need in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft when they selected UCF running back R.J. Harvey. He is a short but stout and explosive running back who is expected to take on the Alvin Kamara role in Sean Payton’s offense.
Look for him to fill the ‘Joker’ role in Payton’s offense and see work as a runner, as a receiver, and putting him in space to allow him to utilize his explosiveness. He is going to have a key role in the Broncos’ offense as a rookie, so it was important for the two sides to get a deal done so he wouldn’t miss much time at all during camp.
Harvey will pair with veteran running back J.K. Dobbins in the Broncos’ backfield with the hopes of giving this offense and productive one-two punch for Sean Payton. If they are able to do this, it would make life easier for second-year quarterback Bo Nix, who thrived last season without much threat of a running game to assist him. So, if he can have a productive run game to lean on, this Broncos offense could take a major step forward this upcoming season.
At the end of the day, I am just glad this drama is now behind us. The team signed first round pick, cornerback Jahdae Barron on Wednesday and now, all Harvey has to do is put pen to paper and he will be officially signed with the Broncos.
