Peyton Manning was at the Nuggets game last night

Former NFL quarterback Peyton Manning and his son, Marshall, were in attendance at the Ball Arena on Tuesday evening to watch the Denver Nuggets take on the Detroit Pistons.

NBA All-Star Nikola Jokić scored 27 points, leading Denver to a 134-119 win over Detroit. Jokić also totaled 11 assists in the victory.

Last month, Denver Broncos coach Vic Fangio also attended a Nuggets match. Fangio witnessed Denver’s 104-95 win over the Philadelphia 76ers in person.

Manning retired from the NFL five years ago but he still lives in the Denver area. He played the last four years of his career with the Broncos, winning four-straight AFC West titles and one Super Bowl with Denver.

Manning virtually attended Nuggets games last summer and he had a chat with Drew Lock at a game before COVID-19 paused the season last spring. Manning’s clearly a big basketball fan — check out this video of him playing knockout with his brother, Eli, and this clip of him playing (cheating?) in a game of ‘HORSE’ with Tony Gonzalez.

Manning’s respect for NBA players seems to be mutual. Last summer, Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James showed off his best Manning impersonation at a training session in Florida.
