In a special Super Bowl edition of “Peyton’s Places,” Peyton Manning covered the history of the Big Game’s halftime show — and he recreated the Super Bowl’s first halftime show.
Manning put on a jetpack and “flew” around the stadium, or so it appears.
It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s…Peyton Manning?

“We simulated like I was flying,” Manning said in an interview with Sam Farmer of the Los Angeles Times. “I think anybody who knows anything is going to know it’s a green-screen job for sure. It’s heavy. Not easy to stand in, much less walk around in. So it’s probably a good thing the jetpack didn’t work out.”
In an episode before the Super Bowl special, Manning sat down with former NFL safety Rodney Harrison and broke down film to determine if some of the defender’s big hits were “clean” or “dirty.”

Last week, the NFL announced that Manning has been voted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility.
