Pat Surtain II believes Bo Nix is going to be have a big year

Optimism is high and, finally, for good reason. The Denver Broncos have a quarterback it believes in.

The Denver Broncos are gearing up for training camp to begin this week. Several players met with the media today and one topic that came up was obviously second-year quarterback, Bo Nix. When reigning NFL Defensive MVP Pat Surtain II was asked about Nix, he said the young quarterback has a lot more confidence this year and believes he’ll “make a lot of noise” this season.

Zac Stevens from DNVR was solid getting these clips out for fans as usual. While I know no player is going to drag his own teammate and will always hype their guy, for a change the tape from last season truly backs up the hype around Bo.

One team in particular that I hope he eviscerates is the Philadelphia Eagles on the road. Not for any angst I have against the Eagles, but towards a fan blogger who trashed on Nix and the Broncos in his post last month.

The Eagles play nine teams that made the playoffs last year. Not all nine will make it this year. The Broncos feel like easy money to be one of them. A losing record by Denver shouldn’t be a surprise.

I’d love for the surprise to be a 30-27 road win in overtime against the defending Super Bowl champions. Although, one day I hope to be this confident (arrogant?) in my team each offseason. Perhaps that day is finally close again!
