Woody Paige isn’t showing the Denver Broncos any mercy regarding their ongoing coaching search.
DeMeco Ryans is said to be the favorite to become the new coach of the Houston Texans. The Broncos were also interested in Ryans, but he reportedly informed them he wants to go back to where he began his NFL playing career in 2006.

The longtime Denver-based columnist’s biting tweet has elicited plenty of reaction.
“Lol we are never going to be good again,” said one discouraged Denver fan.
“What a tweet. Broncos are a mess,” said another.
“All that Walmart money can’t entice someone to save Russ. Broncos country. let’s cry,” gloated a Texans fan.
“Knew it was coming, but still a bummer,” added DenverSports.com digital editor James Merilatt.
As of Sunday, Denver insider Ben Allbright reported that the Broncos had now shifted their search toward three other candidates: Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon, New York Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka and Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan.
Denver is looking for a replacement for Nathaniel Hackett, who was fired after less than one full season.
