Despite playing on the road, the Denver Broncos (0-0) are considered 2.5-point favorites over the New York Giants (0-0) in Week 1 of the 2021 NFL season, according to Tipico Sportsbook.
Tipico has set the over/under for total points scored between the two teams at 41.5. Last year, Denver averaged 20.2 points per game and New York averaged 17.5 points per game (a combined weekly average of 37.7 points).
For the Broncos, Teddy Bridgewater will start at quarterback after winning a QB competition with Drew Lock this summer. Tight end Noah Fant has a leg injury, but the team expects him to be ready to go by Sunday.
For the Giants, Daniel Jones returns as the starting QB. Running back Saquon Barkley has a “strong chance” to play despite limited involvement in the team’s offseason while he was recovering from an ACL injury this summer.
The Broncos-Giants showdown will air on Fox at 2:25 p.m. MT on Sunday, Sept. 12. New York leads the all-time series between the two teams 7-6.
