The Denver Broncos used the 12th overall pick in the first round of the 2024 NFL draft to select Oregon quarterback Bo Nix on Thursday night.
While Broncos fans seem to have mixed (but mostly positive) views on the pick, national experts have been generally negative.
We sampled 12 sets of draft grades from national pundits and of those sampled grades, Denver did not get a single A for drafting Nix.
The quarterback got two B+ grades and one B– grade with three solid Cs, three C+ scores and one C– grade. The QB also got at least one D (if PFF’s “below average” grade equates to a D, that would be a second). Taking out the pluses and minuses and going straight by letter grades, Nix’s cumulative score would be C.
Not exactly a glowing endorsement from the experts — but draft pundits have been wrong before. Let’s hope they’re wrong again.
