We asked Denver Broncos fans where they thought the team would finish in the AFC West this year. Surprise, surprise, we’re a bit optimistic! And for good reason.
In this week’s SB Nation Reacts FanDuel survey, I wanted to find out just how confident Broncos Country was heading into this season. In years’ past, this survey would not likely produce enough optimism to take first place by a mile. However, Bo Nix and that defense has fans thinking different about the Denver Broncos.

A full 56% of fans voted first place and finally ending the Kansas City Chiefs nine year run as AFC West champions. The last time another team took the crown was those historic 2015 Broncos. The Chiefs have been to five of the last six Super Bowls too, going 3-2 in the big game. Hopefully, this dynasty becomes more subdued from here on out no matter how hard the NFL and its referees work to prop them up.
All that trash talk aside, the AFC West is looking like a strong division. Every team got better with the Los Angeles Chargers looking primed for an actual strong season and even the Las Vegas Raiders look competitive. In my opinion, the Chiefs did not get better over last season but are still the kings of the AFC West until proven otherwise.
