Kareem Jackson, 34, is entering his 13th season in the NFL, fourth with the Denver Broncos, but even the veteran safety knows the value QB Russell Wilson, 33, brings to the team.
I mean, the former Seahawks QB listed his Seattle home on Zillow for sale for $28 million! Seriously, though, the saying goes “real recognize real,” and that’s the case between defensive leader Jackson and offensive leader Wilson.
“It’s a huge difference [with Russell Wilson here],” Jackson said Tuesday. [He’s] another leader in the locker room and he’s a guy that’s played some great ball since he’s been in the league. He’s seen it at every level. He’s played at the highest level.
“He’s played in a Super Bowl — a couple of Super Bowls. He’s seen everything there is and he knows what it takes to be a leader on that side of the ball and in the locker room in helping the young guys.”
Jackson added “it’s huge for us” that Wilson is now the team’s quarterback.
Wilson’s been working with the offense basically since being traded to the Broncos as well. Check out a video below.
